THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 1st January, 2016)

Phil 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
KJV

No one likes stagnation, everyone wants to go forward every time! It is certainly human nature to want to aspire higher except for some who don’t care about moving forward. While we want to go forward we get bogged down with either the failure or success of the past, most often than not, the enemy of success is the past success or failure. If you hold unto what life used to be you will be robbed of what the future carries! It could be that your expectations were not fully met in 2015 but do not allow that to affect your joy in this new year. The antidote to this kind of feelings is contained in the scripture above, “forgetting those things which are behind and reaching for those things which are before. The good before you in 2016 is greater and better than what you saw in 2015. Forget the good in 2015, the better is before you; forget the better things in 2015, the best of all things are before you in 2016. You are breaking higher grounds this year! All through the year 2016, you shall have no dull moments! Your song all through this year shall be “I’m pressing on the upward way, new heights I’m gaining everyday………..Lord, lead me unto higher ground”. The devil that could not stop you from entering this year cannot stop your advancement! So shall it be in Jesus name! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 30th December, 2015)

Ps 8:4-5
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
KJV

Please, pause a minute and reflect on the following! January 1st this years you were here, today 30th of December, you are still here! So many people, some of whom you know, have passed to the great beyond. Many fell sick, some hospitalized, and you even went to visit and pray for them but it did not happen to you or your children. The road you passed several times this year, some attempted passing there just once and it became a death trap to them. we heard in the news so many who lost their lives in accidents, wars and some via sicknesses and diseases. Sometime ago in Lagos, armed robbers were robbing a bank and shooting sporadically, a stray bullet caught a pregnant woman and she died instantly, this was not you. At some points when you heard the happenings to people you exclaimed, “eyaa”, “ewooo”, “oohh” but it didn’t happen to you. so many passed away, so many were sick, so many were involved in so many heartbreaking situations and you may have even gone to sympathize with them. why did it not happen you? It is not that you are more righteous than anyone to claim righteousness. We look at others and we ignorantly feel that we are more righteous that them! Not at all! It is because God was mindful of you! Why not thank Him for sparing your life and decking you with His gory and honour? Thank you Jesus for all you have done for me this year! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 28th December, 2015)

Luke 5:2, 4-6
And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
KJV

Nothing is as frustrating as hoping against hope and nothing seems to be happening! You have done all that is required of you, you have trusted God for a breakthrough, others are sharing their testimonies of God’s goodness but to you, it has been a year without any positive result. Nothing, absolutely nothing, seems to be working! At this point that the year is running out you are already giving up on your dream(s) for the year. Friend, you are not alone in this kind of experience! Peter and his colleagues had similar experience and, according to scriptures, they were already gone out of their ship (given up!) and were washing their nets (no more hopes of a catch). But Jesus came along and made use of Peter’s ship and thereafter the miracle they toiled all night for came cheaply to them! Jesus said launch out into the deep and let down your nets for it is time for a shocking miracle. Peter did as he was commanded and he saw the result. I don’t know that thing that has eluded you these past months of 2015, it is time for a draught. Until your own thing is done this year shall not come to an end! God must answer you this year. You must not have a carryover till next year! If only you can believe, like Simon, you shall have an injury time miracle! So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 25th December, 2015)

Luke 2:7,8,13,14
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
KJV

Amidst the pomp and celebrations we must not lose track of what this season entails for humanity! God, in His infinite mercy, coming humbly to man in such a lowly manner! Jesus became a baby to be born in a manger! O’ the love of God how great, how amiable! I cannot help wonder what manner of care our father, the Lord God Almighty, has for us! What a care, what a love! The angels announced this good tidings to the shepherds who were keeping watch over their flocks by night. But the most important statement here is that His coming is for peace upon the earth and God’s goodwill toward men. We need peace now in our contemporary world more than ever before. All over the world peace seems to have eluded us! Whether great or small, rich or poor, educated or illiterate, black or white, peace has eluded us! Now, the coming of Jesus is to avail us of the peace we all need! However, because the world has not received Him they cannot have His peace. It’s only Jesus that can give peace to the world as He declared, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” John 14:27. As we dine and wine with friends and well-wishers, may we remember to pray for the peace of the world because that is why Jesus came! May we enjoy peace in our country all through this season and beyond! Let there be peace, Lord! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 23rd December, 2015)

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
KJV

All over the world people are in festive mood! Whether Christian faithful or not, everyone is in the mood of the season! The yuletide is so unique that no one can deny the aura of the time! Christian children are normally upbeat about the coming of Christmas mostly because they must have new clothes and other gifts (we were all like that when we were kids). It is also characterized by travels: people travel from cities to their villages or visit friends and relatives to celebrate the season. There is no doubt, Christmas comes with lots of fun and excitement! Many, unfortunately though, are carried away in the euphoria of these fun and excitements that they forget the essence of the season. Christmas is the demonstration of God’s love to mankind! Jesus is the reason for the season! Our celebrations anchor on the coming of the Son of God to this sinful world in order to reconcile mankind with God the Creator! God showed us love first so that we may know how well to love. God demonstrated His love by giving His very best-His only begotten Son! His Son in turn, commanded us to love. Love is a commandment (John 15:12, 17). As we celebrate Christmas therefore, let us remember to show someone a little kindness! Love covers multitudes of sins therefore, forgive those that may have offended you! Let someone around you receive your kindness and love this season! Let love, I mean pure love, ooze out of you to the world around you! I wish to tell all my friends that I love and cherish you all. Without love the world is not complete and without you our world in Dew of Hermon is not complete! This shall be your best Christmas ever in Jesus name! HAPPY CHRISTMAS in advance! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 21st December, 2015)

Isa 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
KJV

Sometimes in life the enemy may come in like a flood! What this means is, you have experience that seems too ugly, too much for you to bear. You begin to wonder whether there is God at all. It could happen that those you so trusted betray you without any iota of remorse. Very close family members hurt you without even looking back. Your closest associates could hurt your interest without apology. To you it may look as if the world has collapsed on you. When you turn around you its attack on every side and you have nowhere to run to. Floods of wrong, ugly falsehood making the rounds but I have good news for you and bad news for your enemies and their agents. The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against them. The fear of God will come upon them swiftly and so shall their destruction. Their shame is nigh at hand! No matter the strength of the flood it shall be neutralized! And your God will lift up your head! So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 16th December, 2015)

Ps 46:1-5
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
KJV

God is the only sure refuge man can have. He is ever present whenever we need Him. Those who have Him as their refuge are often not afraid no matter what happens around them. Let the earth grumble and tumble. Let the seas and the waters be enraged and let the mountains melt in anger, there is a river, the streams will always make glad your heart. Why? God is with you and so you cannot be moved. Say to yourself, “I am unmovable”. God’s help is coming your way without delay. God will help you early, He won’t come too late. Help is on the way! This yuletide whatever help and whichever way you need the help of God, it will be available to you! God is not a man that He should lie, He will do your own for you! Your joy shall be full this season and you shall celebrate and be celebrated! So shall it be in Jesus name! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 14th December, 2015)

Lam 3:22-23
It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
KJV

Those who walk in their self-righteousness do not acknowledge the mercies of God! Such is the case with those who look at others as sinners while they feel they are born righteous! In Luke 18:10-14 Jesus gave an illustration of someone living in deceit of self-righteousness and its dangers. We made it so far this year against all odds because of God’s mercy! Sleeping and waking up is not as easy and simple as some think. There were people that went to bed last night but are no more today. There were even some that, while having siesta, never woke up again. No wonder David said. “I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me” Ps 3:5. No one can say he merited anything from God, including life, but for His mercy. We that the devil would have destroyed long ago are still alive and well. We that the accuser of the brethren (the devil) could accuse of so many wrong doings yet God said He will not destroy us because of His mercies according as it is written Rom 9:15-16 ”For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy”. Brethren, let us return to the mercy seat (Lev. 16:2)! Why not you say “Lord, thank you for your mercy”. God’s mercies have brought us thus far, He will sustain us to the end! So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 11th December, 2015)

Job 32:8
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
KJV

Without inspiration people’s morals go low when they want to do anything. Any man who aims higher in life needs inspiration (motivation) that will propel him forward. Man’s moral boosting is limited but God’s own is unlimited. There are so many things you ought to have done but you don’t know how to go about them. There are so many ideas in your mind but you have not been able to channel them out. What you need is inspiration! There is a spirit (instinct on what to do) in man but you need the inspiration of the Almighty! You have that dream of writing a book, or as a student, you want to carry out research or do your project but you need God’s inspiration. You need an inspiration on how to move your ministry forward, how to make progress in your academic, your business, your family life etc. The inspiration on how and what to do to make progress in life is coming on you right now by the Spirit of the Almighty God. God’s light is coming to envelop your being right now to turn things around for you. “Lord, I need your inspiration!” If that is your prayer, you shall have it! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 7th December, 2015)

2 Cor 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
KJV

Human nature abhors shame! Nobody wants to experience shame at any point in time! As I have often told people, nobody sees shame and walks into it, nobody sees failure and goes towards it, nobody in his right senses sees live and picks death. Everybody wants glory, everyone wants to shine! But from the scripture above you can only experience glory by beholding the Lord! Those who gaze on the glory of the Lord are the ones entitled to be changed into His image and His image is glorious! Those who sees His glory are moved from one level of glory to another: from glory to glory! No wonder Psalm 34:5 says “they looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed”. Shame causes one’s head to bow why glory lifts one’s head up. Shame makes one to be confounded but glory lightens ones face. Wherever you have experienced shame in your career, family, academics, business, health etc, it is time for you to have double for your shame according as it is written in Isa. 61:7! In this season of God’s glory, you will not miss out! You shall not see shame! You shall see God’s glory over your life! So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 4th December, 2015)

Isa 55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
KJV

Man, over the years, has been trying to study the world around him to no avail! Scientists have tried all they could to reveal the functionality or otherwise of the creature! Man, for instance, has studied and is still studying the galaxy and revealing new things each time. Just yesterday (3rd December, 2015), the European space mission launched an unmanned voyage to go close to the sun (about one and a half million miles closer to the sun) in other to acquire more understanding of the galaxy and universe. Man cannot go on a trip to the sun as he has done to the moon. But God has sun as His dwelling place, as it is written “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen” (1 Tim 6:16). Man has been studying God’s creature for thousands of years and has not known even 10% of it how can man then understudy God, the Creator? This is because God is too high, too wide and too deep for man to phantom! God’s thought and His ways are too much for man to know. That is why He can declare the end from the beginning. Therefore, when God says you will make it, it does not matter where you are, how things have been, He will surely bring it to pass because He is too lofty for any situation. God can do just anything at anytime, including your own thing. Hold on, He will do your own very soon! So shall it be in Jesus name! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 2nd December, 2015)

Ps 65:11
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
KJV

The crowning month of the year is December! God is the one that crowns the year with His goodness and He makes our paths to drop fatness. That is to say God brings to us the balance of the blessings earmarked for the year speedily at the last month. This last month is everybody’s month; anything can happen for anybody. As the scripture says in John 7:37 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink”. This shall be your own month of testimony! In the secular they say, ‘he that laughs last laughs best’ so, I tell you the truth, it shall be your month of laughter. Laughter is inevitable when God crowns the end of the year for you with His goodness. The bible says “…the end of a matter is better than the beginning thereof..” so also, the end of a year for those that are on the Lord’s side must be better than the beginning thereof. When God is involved in your case it will certainly result in laughter. It does not matter what the past eleven months have done to you, it does not even matter what you are going through presently, I want to assure you that you will laugh at the end. Know that God can still do something beyond your imagination in the remaining days of this year. When God got involved in the case of Abram, after he and Sarai had concluded on themselves, their case eventually resulted in laughter to the point that they were too embarrassed to admit it. When God visited Obed-Edom, his case resulted in laughter that king David became jealous and envious of him. The remaining days of this year, God will concentrate on your life, and your case will result in laughter in Jesus name! And so shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 30th November, 2015)

Prov 23:18
For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
KJV

The end of a thing is the most important aspect of it! So many a times people begin a project but it becomes abandoned making it useless ever starting it at all. God also attach premium to the end of a matter. In the book of Eccl 7:8a the scripture says “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof”. What is the essence of starting a thing and not finishing it? It is important to start a thing but most important to finish whatever it is you started. But the propelling forces that make one to finish a matter well are his/her expectations. Surely, when you start a thing and you keep at it, there is an end, and that end brings to fruition your expectations. Thank God today is the end of November, the 11th month of the year! The month may have come to an end but your expectations shall never be cut off. An end has come to sufferings in your life, and end has come to joblessness, and end has come to sickness, frustration, poverty, failure, bareness. Surely there is an end! Whatever your expectations may be, as the Lord liveth, you shall have them fulfilled! Do not give up hope, surely your own thing must happen and you shall share your testimony. So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 25th November, 2015)

Ps 68:1-2
Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
KJV

Many years ago there was this young graduate who took to selling women and children wears when no other job was readily available. Her elder brother came, with smiles, and bought some for his family on credit. He promised to pay the money in just two weeks. The two weeks ran into months and he was not forthcoming with the payment. When she asked him for the money he became angry and threatened to kill her. True to his threat, he went and consulted with a thunder maker to kill her with thunder. But the God who is above any thunder, made it to backfire on him. The thunder threw him out of his room to the compound and he confessed before he died. Listen to this, you have done good for people but they seek your hurt instead, you have assisted someone but he turned against you, the very person who benefited from you benevolence is now planning your downfall, the person you helped to employ in your organization is now a thorn in your flesh, whereas you mean well for them they mean evil for you and your family. Let God arise and judge them! The Lord God Almighty shall arise and all that are undoing you shall be scattered! They shall be driven away as smoke and melted as wax but the Lord will sustain you! And so shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 23rd November, 2015)

Mal 3:17-18
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
KJV

There is an adage in my place that says “a child that runs errand eats with dirty hands but a child that refuses to run errand eats with clean hands” (Aj’ uchẹ ki aj’ ẹwñ ọwọ iwa, ak’ uchẹ ki aj’ẹwñ ọwọ hioolo). I contended this saying when I was growing up thinking it was injustice against the errand running child because I felt he that runs errand should eat with clean hands. But one day my mother had to explain it to me: the child who runs errand is cherished by the parents so much so that when it is time for food they simply call him to clean his hands and come and eat. He will dust his hands and come for food, which is often in one bowl for everybody. The child who refuses errand will also come to eat food but they will look at his hands very well and ask him to “go clean your hands very well for it is still dirty”. He will run and wash his hands very well but when he comes to sit and eat they will scrutinize his hands and tell him there is dirt in some parts of the hand and that he has to go and wash again. They could do this several times until finally they will ask him to eat for his hands are well cleaned but at this time is either the food is remaining very small or it has finished. Thus the child that runs errand eats while the one that refuses errand goes hungry. When you look at these two children, one is distinctly well fed while the other is underfed. The scripture above is saying God will distinguish between you and others. You shall return and will certainly notice the difference between those that serve God and those that serve Him not. This week, God will distinguish you among your peers! In your academic, family, business, health, job etc, God will distinguish you and the difference will show! So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 20th November, 2015)

Amos 9:13
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
KJV

One tool the enemy uses against people these days is stagnation! This is because stagnation leads to frustration! Think about what happens to a young man/woman who has been writing one examination year in year out without success; what do you think about a young man/woman who wishes to be married but all efforts at it ended up in futility; how do you see a young fresh couple married and counting years with no child to show for their union, the end point is frustration! I saw one young man who was an apprentice, he was settled by his master more than 10 years ago but when I visited his shop early this year the whole place was covered with dust and himself looked insane. That is frustration! The devil will not frustrate your life! The scripture above is talking about speed and speed is anti-stagnation! The plowman shall overtake the reaper meaning, while they are still reaping you are plowing the next one and while they are still treading the grapes for wine the seeds for the next wine are already being sown. The remaining days of this year you shall have speed like never before. God is giving you speed for accomplishment. Whatever you have been unable to achieve since the beginning of this year, you will accomplish with the speed of light. Your mountains shall drop sweet wine. Welcome to your season of divine speed! So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 16th November, 2015)

2 Peter 1:19-21
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
KJV

Stars shine only at night! In the day stars don’t shine because their light is often swallowed up by the sun. The sun is so powerful that when it rises stars have to withdraw until the night season. That has been the order of shining! However in these last days God is making stars out of His children and they are to shine in the day time. They are referred to as “day star”. You don’t have to wait for the people you refer to as heavy weights in business, academics, ministry etc for you to shine. God is making you to shine even in the presence of the heavy weights (the sun). God is making a star out of you! You will outshine your peers! When God is the one who gives you light there is nothing the devil can do about it! You will shine and outshine the devil and his cohorts! Begin to shine out, you are a day star. If that is you, shout the loudest amen, if you can and receive it. So shall it be in Jesus name!  PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 13th November, 2015)

Isa 60:1-2
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
KJV

Light supersedes darkness in every ramification! The supremacy of light over darkness is such that light overwhelms darkness in glory. Darkness may rule in the absence of light but as soon as light comes to the scene darkness bows out in surrender! When you have light you are full of energy and activity. God is saying to you that your light has come and it is time to shine! Darkness hides someone but light makes one to shine. Those who are covered with darkness cannot shine. My friend, you will shine! Irrespective of what the situation looks like now you will shine! In your family you will shine! In your academics you will shine! No matter the economy of the world you will shine in your finances. No matter how tough the situation of life, you will shine among your equals. There are so much complains about crude oil prices, business stagnation, economic downturn etc. All these cries are not strange because we already know that “darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people” but the good news is, we are exempted from their cries. Why? “the Lord shall arise upon thee and His glory shall be seen upon thee”. You will not cry their cry for the Lord is your portion. Please, note that you shall continue to shine to the glory of God! So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 11th November, 2015)

Col 3:3
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
KJV

I watched a very interesting scenario some years ago when I was still in primary school! I returned from Church service one Sunday and sat down to eat. My younger brother’s food was kept in a breakable plate with a transparent cover which made the well-cooked local rice visible and very attractive. A little while, one of mamma’s hen came along and started pecking the glass plate with the aim of eating the rice. I watched the drama as the hen tried in futility to eat the rice. The hen will not leave but could not eat the rice. It continued until the beak began to peel and became blunt. I saw the hen as a foolish hen! As I pondered on the scripture above I remembered this hen! I came to the realization that we are well secured in Christ who Himself is in God so much so that all the “pecking” by the devil and his cohorts always end up in their frustration. The hen was frustrated that day so also all your enemies will be frustrated trying to get at you. No wonder Isaiah 44:25 says this about God, “ that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad ; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish”. Friend, do not be afraid, you are shielded in Christ who is inside of God. Until the devil can enter God, bring out Jesus before he can get you. Any attempt on you is like that foolish hen. They will all end up frustrated! So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 9th November, 2015)

Isa 31:4-5
For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
KJV

Growing up in the village in those days, my mother used to rear chicken a lot! I noticed the mother hen becomes more aggressive when she hatches her chicks. On sighting any intruder close to her chicks (sometimes even when we were the ones), it will fence round them and  attempt to attack the intruder with her beak. When the mother hen sights a hawk hovering in the sky, it will utter certain sound recognized by the young ones and they will run to her and she gathers her chicks under her and sit down covering them. No matter what happens it will never get up nor give up protecting them. This I consider as a wise mother hen. But a foolish mother hen will start to jump about, making noise until the hawk swings low and pick one of the chicks. Our God is like that wise mother hen! Like a lion He fights for us and never deterred by the noise or turmoil. He will fly over to defend, deliver and preserve. In this season, as the year runs to a close, so shall God do for you and your family. He will fight to defend, deliver and preserve you! So shall it be! SHALOM!
