THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 31st December, 2014)

Phil 3:13
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.
KJV

One very big problem humans have is lack of ability to forget things that have passed. Most of the time we hold unto the past and we become oblivion to the future. Some people dwell on their past achievements until their successes become stale. Whatever your own experience might have been in 2014, LET GO! Do not hold tight the good of 2014 better things are waiting for you in 2015. If yours was better the best is waiting for you. If you think yours was the best of experience more outstanding experience awaits you in 2015. Whatever your lot, the best is yet to come! As a musician your best song is not yet out, as a preacher your best messages are yet to come out. Whatever profession, learn to let go of the past. Paul said “…..this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before”. Those who make progress in life always look forward and not backward. Those who spend their time looking backward remain backward. The future is better than the past, what is before you in 2015 is not comparable to what you saw in 2014. For the path of the just is as a shining light and shines more and more. To you it is forward ever backward never! Take a look at the glass door in most banks today, when you approach the door it opens and you enter the gate, the back door MUST close on you before the front door will open to admit you into the banking hall. If the back door refused to close you must step back and check yourself properly to be able to enter. Allow the door to close on 2014 and approach 2015 with hope and you will not be disappointed. Forget those things that are behind, reach out to those things ahead. JESUS IS LORD!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 29th December, 2014)

Phil 3:12
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
KJV

You may not have got to where you wish to be but certainly you are not where you used to be! You may not have attained all you planned to do in 2014 but certainly you have made some progress on your life’s endeavors. There are some who started with you but never got near to where you are. You may think you have not got much of your plans off the ground in the year 2014 but did you know that some people are still envying where you are? It is really a time to count your blessings and name them one by one. I tell you the truth, it will surely surprise you what the Lord has done. Just take a look at yourself, see the positive things that have happened to you and close your eyes to what is yet to be. A song writer once wrote “take a look at yourself, where you are now and how you began with Him, you will have every cause to celebrate and praise Jehovah”. You may not have attained nor be perfect but surely you are getting there. CELEBRATE GOD FOR WHERE YOU ARE! For sure, 2015 will be a great year for you. You shall be celebrated in the coming year. Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 24th December, 2014)

Isa 9:6-7
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
KJV

Jesus is the reason for this season of Christians celebration. He came as a child and was born into this world. He did not come as a King but He has all authority. He came as a child but has all the government upon His shoulder. He has the best of names and rules in the affairs of men. He is the best Counsellor we ever had. The Mighty God came down in form of mortal man. He lives forever so you have nothing to worry about anymore. He is the everlasting father, the Prince of Peace to remove all wars. That is why I know for sure that your wars are over. You troubles are over, your sickness and travails are over. Celebrate this season with Jesus who is the reason for the season. PEACE upon You now and always!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 22nd December, 2014)

Isa 45:1-3
Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
KJV

When God is going before you all you need to do is to follow! When you follow Him all difficulties planned by the devil become a walkover for you. God has said in clear terms that He will go before you so follow Him in this season of celebration and be rest assured that He will be there for you. As you travel this season, every crooked place shall be made straight, every gate of brass shall break into pieces and every iron bar shall be cut in sunder so that you can have a smooth ride in all your ways. You shall be preserved, you shall be protected. No evil will befall you. The hand of the Almighty shall keep you. Above all, God will bless you with good things so that your celebration can be complete. All these shall come to pass for you in the name of Jesus. SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 19th December, 2014)

Phil 4:19-20
But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Now unto God and our father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
KJV

I welcome you to this yuletide season in the name of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ! As Christmas approaches culminating into the end of the year, so many demands hanging on your shoulders and many need to be met in the face of very scarce resources. Many are wondering how they would cope while a lot of people are worried they won’t be able to pay their bills. Some are looking up to their friends or relatives to be able to make ends meet this period of the year. So many get disappointed at the end of the day because man cannot meet their needs. But as we see in the scripture above, it is the Almighty God who can satisfy everyone’s need. I don’t know what your needs may be but I am so sure that the God who is the Creator of the universe has all it takes to meet your need. Shelter, clothing, food, drink; He shall supply ALL, not some but ALL. At the end let all glory and thanks be given to Him who supplied all our needs. THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 17th December, 2014)

Gal 3:13-14
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
KJV

For those of us that are children of God the bible says we are of the lineage of Abraham. If we are the seed of Abraham then what Abraham had should be ours by redemption. According to Genesis 24:1 ……………and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things”. If God blessed Abraham in all things and we are the seed of Abraham according to promise, then you must not be in lack and want. Why should you eat from hand to mouth? Why should you die in penury? You are carrying in you the DNA of Abraham and it is the gene of blessing. You are a blessed child who is expected to be a blessing. You are blessed to be a blessing to others. If you have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ then you are engrafted to the family of blessing of Abraham. This yuletide you will have in surplus and share with those who have not. Tell yourself “I am born again to live in abundance, no more lack and want”. So shall it be in Jesus name. PEACE!

Relating Rightly to the God of All Grace

The God of all grace . . . to the praise of the glory of His grace . . . the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ . . . the Spirit of grace. (1 Peter 5:10; Ephesians 1:6; 2 Corinthians 8:9; Hebrews 10:29)
Our Lord God is "the God of all grace." God's comprehensive and infinite grace is characteristic of all the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The Father will be honored forever for His grace, so we read: "to the praise of the glory of His grace." The Son makes that grace available to all who believe, so it is called "the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ." The Spirit applies that grace in the hearts of those who follow Jesus Christ, so He is called "the Spirit of grace." Grace is found in God alone. Therefore, one must relate rightly to the God of all grace in order to receive all that He desires to give us in fulfilling His purposes and glorifying His name.
The fundamental manner for relating to the God of grace is the developing of a personal relationship. Getting to know God is what life with the Lord is all about. "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3). In fact, knowing the Lord is man's ultimate treasure in all of creation. Everything else that competes is to be considered as loss. "But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ" (Philippians 3:7-8). It is not surprising then that getting increasingly acquainted with the Lord is the way that His grace impacts our lives.
"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord" (2 Peter 1:2).
As we are getting to know the God of all grace more and more, He is developing in our lives two strategic relational realities: humility and faith. We have looked at these two spiritual qualities many times throughout our meditations. Repeated reflection on these two realities is appropriate, since they unfold the practical heart of living daily by God's grace. "Be clothed with humility, for 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble' " (1 Peter 5:5). God's grace is given to those who "walk humbly with [their] God" (Micah 6:8). Likewise, faith accesses grace. "We have access by faith into this grace in which we stand" (Romans 5:2). Walking in humble dependence is the way to relate rightly to the God of all grace.

Dear God of all grace, I want to relate to You rightly that I might live daily by Your grace. Help me to know You more and more that humility and faith might develop in my life. I long to walk before You in humble dependence, in Jesus name, Amen.

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 15th December, 2014)

John 3:8
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
KJV

The wind may start like breeze and may sometimes strengthen into strong wind. In whichever way, you can always feel how the wind blows but it’s usually impossible to tell accurately where it is coming from or going, not even with the modern apparatus can they be accurate. It therefore means wind is unpredictable. Child of God, Jesus says, that is what you are. As wind is unpredictable you are unpredictable. No devil from the pit of hell will be able to predict you anymore. Now, on land, wind sometimes transforms into tornadoes while on the seas you have storms. On the oceans you have typhoons. Very shortly God will make you a sunnami to your world. In academics, industry, commerce (which ever area you are), you shall dominate your world. I tell you the truth in the Holy Ghost that God has programmed you as a tornado and typhoon to take your world by the storm. Get ready! Your generation shall experience the power of God through you. If you are that person I am sent to, say to yourself “I am unpredictable!” SHALOM!

The Boldness of Grace

I have written more boldly to you on some points . . . because of the grace given to me by God . . . Great is my boldness of speech toward you. (Romans 15:15; 2 Corinthians 7:4)

When the grace of God is at work in the lives of His people, spiritual boldness is a common result. This was clearly the testimony of the early church. "They spoke the word of God with boldness . . . And great grace was upon them all" (Acts 4:31, 33).

The Apostle Paul experienced this same boldness, as he ministered by the grace of God. "I have written more boldly to you on some points . . . because of the grace given to me by God." Paul's letters often displayed the boldness of grace. Romans was no exception. As he applied the radical truths of the gospel of grace (given in the earlier chapters of Romans), he spoke with characteristic boldness. His exhortation to lay our lives on God's altar is a prime example. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:1-2). His call to be clothed in Christ, leaving no room for fleshly tendencies, is another notable instance. "Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in licentiousness and lewdness, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts" (Romans 13:13-14). His pronouncement concerning the Lord's ownership of our lives is one more illustration.

"For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's" (Romans 14:8).

When Paul wrote the saints at Corinth, the boldness of grace was again evident. "Great is my boldness of speech toward you." Just prior to this confession of boldness, he had given a radical request concerning godly separation from the defilements of the world. "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God" (2 Corinthians 6:14-16).

Prayer:
Dear Father, I praise You for the radical nature of You and Your truth. I thank You for the boldness that Your grace can bring into lives. By Your grace at work in me, cause me to think, pray, speak, and act in godly boldness. For Your glory, grant me, I pray, a boldness that is confident, but not arrogant; daring, but not reckless; uncompromising, but not harsh; unrelenting, but not insensitive; fearless, but not unloving.

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 8th December, 2014)

1 Samuel 2:2-3
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
KJV

The LORD most high is the holiest of all! There is no one that compares with Him in holiness; no, no rock like Him. When you make Him the rock of your salvation you become unmovable. Those who speak proudly He brings down. Those who exalt themselves above His knowledge He exposes in shame. Our God is God of knowledge; that thing you do why do you do it? That message you coined to preach why did you do it? Was it to glorify Him or you have your own selfish motive? Behold you can hide your true intentions from man but you can never hide it from God. Before Him all men lay naked. Fear God and depart from evil so that you can be justified by Him. Until He justifies you He will not bless you. Fear God! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 3rd December, 2014)

Num 23:19-20
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
KJV

There is a very big difference between man and God! When God says a thing He means it, but man may promise you that he is on your side only for you to discover later that he is your enemy. When God makes a promise He makes sure He brings it to pass. Man tells lies, even to your face, but God does not. Man repents (turns back on commitments and promises) but God does not. When He says it He does it. When He speaks He makes it good. That is why I know that all the good things God has spoken concerning you this year, they will all come to pass. Above all, God has already blessed you and no mortal man can reverse it. Man attempting to reverse God’s blessings upon your life is putting himself against God. Who can fight God? My friend fear not, you are blessed by God and anyone who is angry will be ashamed. Keep on trusting the LORD for He alone is trustworthy. Jesus is Lord! SHALOM!

Continuing in the Grace of God
When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord . . . Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. (Acts 11:23; 13:43)
Whenever the grace of God is allowed to work in human hearts, visible spiritual evidences eventually appear. This can bring joy to those who are outwardly observing this inward work of grace. Still, it is appropriate to exhort those who have made progress in grace to continue in the grace of God.
When Barnabas arrived in Antioch to evaluate the reported spiritual revival, he was able to observe the outward confirmations of God's inward work of grace. These verifications of grace caused him to rejoice. "He was glad." However, he knew that words of exhortation were appropriate. Thus, he began to urge them to press on with Christ. He "encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord." It is important for those who have started out with the Lord (through faith in His name) to go on with the Lord. Life in Christ is basically about the most vital relationship of all.
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3).
The Christian life is not only about meeting the Lord and receiving eternal life. This life-giving relationship with the Lord is to be nurtured and developed day by day unto abundance of life.
Sometime after Barnabas shared this exhortation with the saints in Antioch (north of Israel), he and Paul were visiting the believers in another Antioch (in Pisidia, in the region of modern day Turkey). Here, they gave a similar exhortation. However, on this occasion, their urging was related to God's grace: "persuaded them to continue in the grace of God." Yes, grace is not only the way we begin with the Lord, but it is also the means by which we go on with Him. God's grace is something we are to be seeking after every day. It is a major error of the faith to relegate grace to days gone by. We can praise and thank the Lord for all of His grace experienced in previous years. Nevertheless, the grace of God is essential today — and in each new day. Also, it is so fitting that the saints in one town were exhorted concerning continuing in the Lord, whereas others later were urged regarding continuing in grace. Grace cannot be separated from the Lord Jesus. "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Lord, I want to continue with You and Your grace. I do not want my experience of You and Your grace to consist only of days gone by. I long to know You better and to experience You grace more — each day!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 1st December, 2014)

Lam 3:37
Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Ps 33:9
For he spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
KJV

This is a very striking question that the world has no answer to! Who among the children of men, who among the princes, who among the kings of the earth says anything and it comes to pass when God, the Almighty has not spoken? There is none! Whereas they never wanted you to live before now, God said you must see the last month of the year. Whereas the wickedness of men ganged up and told lies of all sorts to sniff life out of you but God said you must not die and here you are in the very last month of the year 2014. And because you have seen the last month of this year you shall see the end of this year! You shall see the beginning and ending of 2015. You shall see many more fruitful and fulfilled years ahead! All they said and did came to nothing because God is on our side. While they thought they will have occasion to laugh at us, behold we are celebrating promotion, protection, preservation on every side. Whatever this God speaks that is what stands and when He commands, it is carried out. We shall continue to testify the faithfulness of God and all our foes shall be ashamed! Please, keep on celebrating God’s addition all the days of your life. Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!
