THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 26th November, 2014)

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
KJV

So many people walking in the vanity of their minds think they are doing the truth. Some come out openly to argue about what they don’t even know nor understand. My heart bleeds when people we so trust come out to show their ignorance of the truth. There is no freedom anywhere unless you hold to the truth. You cannot move forward unless you are abreast with the truth. Let us therefore, learn to stand tall in the truth wherever we are found irrespective of who the truth will hurt. Truth, they say is bitter, but we need it to be free! Stand tall saying and doing the truth (Say I hear)! Jesus is Lord! SHALOM!

Lives Drawn by the Exceeding Grace of God
They glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. (2 Corinthians 9:13-14)
The church at Corinth became a vivid illustration of what the grace of God can do in lives. God's grace was so mightily at work among them that believers in other parts of the church world were drawn by the exceeding grace of God: "who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you."
Paul's first letter to them certainly revealed that the saints in Corinth were experiencing many problems. Yet, his second letter showed that they were responding to the convicting and transforming work of the Spirit of God. As the church at Corinth was growing in godliness, they were becoming a generous body of believers. They were learning to share with liberality that which the Lord had given to them. This process was being exemplified to them by other churches in the region of Macedonia.
"Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality" (2 Corinthians 8:1-2).
The churches in Macedonia were burdened for the churches in Judea that were undergoing great material need. The amazing fact is that the Macedonian churches were very needy themselves ("in a great trial of affliction . . . their deep poverty"). The explanation for this burden of compassion in Macedonia was the grace of God at work. "We make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia." God's grace was stirring in them a concern for others and a willingness to share their limited material resources.
A similar work of God was occurring in Corinth, and it was impacting the saints in regions beyond. As other Christians looked at God's grace operating in Corinth, they gave glory to God for their generosity. "They glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men." As they prayed for the saints at Corinth, their hearts were drawn after them in great yearning: "by their prayer for you, who long for you." When the grace of God is allowed to work deeply within followers of Jesus Christ, others develop a yearning to pray for them, to be with them, to communicate with them. They want to be impacted by the exceeding grace of God that has changed and enriched their lives.

Dear Lord of exceeding grace, I thank You for generously sharing the riches of Your grace with me. By Your grace, give me a generous heart towards others. Also, please flood my life with such fullness of grace that others will be drawn to learn more of Your exceeding grace, Amen.

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 24th November, 2014)

Ps 20:7-8
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
KJV

Who and what you trust in determines whether or not you will stand in the storms of life! The storms are raging every now and then because this life is war and the earth is the battlefield. Some put their trust in chariots and the strength of their horses. Some trust in their godfathers and the cunning craftiness of their so-called special advisers. They have profane judgment, they believed in lies, they have exalted immorality and debase righteousness. They preach what they don’t believe in and what they do not they ask others to do. God’s judgment will come upon them suddenly and they shall fall. Let them say unimaginable evil against you, let them call false witnesses against you because of things that will perish here on earth. They are altogether callous and heartless but God will judge them. They make white become black and turn black to white because of sentiment. They do not know nor fear the Almighty with whom all flesh remain naked. They are not even afraid of not making heaven. Their shame shall know no end, their everlasting destruction shall not be forgotten. But as for those that do the truth, we are protected on every side and all our foes shall be ashamed! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

Sin Abounding, Grace Abounding "Much More"

Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 5:20-21)
Sin can overflow lives until there seems to be no hope. Yet, the scriptures boldly declare that the grace of God is greater than the most terrible, aggravated sin of man. Yes, even when sin is abounding, grace can eventually abound "much more."
The Lord uses His law to teach us of sin and of our need for His grace. "Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound." The law provokes the rebellious hearts of man, revealing the desires of sin within them.
"For when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death . . . I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, 'You shall not covet' " (Romans 7:5, 7). Also, the law of God convinces us of the awful nature of sin: "that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful" (Romans 7:13).
Part of the awful impact of sin is the death it produces in lives: "sin reigned in death." Sin brings spiritual death. "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). Where sin is left unattended it rules lives by bringing more and more evidences of this spiritual deadness: such as; hatred, selfishness, cruelty, emptiness, despair, and the like. It is as though great waves of sin roll over lives, inundating them in bondage and hopelessness. Nevertheless, there is always hope in the grace of God. "But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more." No matter how high the waves of sin have flooded in, the waves of God's grace can roll in higher, if we humbly seek after Him.
The grace of God is not only able to forgive sin and cleanse it away, it can also set up a new rule of godliness in forgiven lives. "As sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness." Sin once ruled our lives, bringing spiritual deadness, which increased with each day. Now, if grace is allowed to work in our lives, practical righteousness grows day by day: such as; love, selflessness, kindness, fullness, hope, and the like. All of this is the qualitative aspect of the everlasting life that comes by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: "even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Dear Lord, what a great encouragement these words bring to my heart. The waves of past sin in my life, and the lives of others I minister to, can be dealt with by greater waves of Your life-giving grace. Lord, please flood my life with tidal waves of grace, producing righteousness in my life. Also, help me to point others in this direction of abundant hope, through Jesus Christ, Amen.
THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 21st November, 2014)

Ps 61:1-3
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For thou hast been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy.
KJV

Sometimes we cry but no one hears but God’s ears are opened unto our cries! We shed secret tears that we cannot share with anyone but God is aware of our tears and concerns. Wherever you may be (even the ends of the earth) He hears. I don’t know where you may be, even from the earths of the world He will hear you. Sometimes your heart may be overwhelmed by what is happening around you; your ears are filled with ugly things said about your personality, your eyes are filled with tears that no one can help except God. I tell you the truth, there is a rock that is higher than you. God is leading you to a rock that is higher than you. He will hide you in His hands. He has been our shelter; a shelter that will be ever present. Trust Him, believe in Him, all the storms will be over! So shall it be! SHALOM!  (Have a storm-free weekend).

Reigning in Life by the "Much More" Grace of God

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17)
Man's problems are a result of his initial relationship with Adam. God's remedies are found in a new relationship with Jesus Christ. As we have seen, all of humanity begins life ruled by a tyrant dictator called death, due to their link with Adam. "By the one man's offense death reigned through the one." However, when people become related to Jesus Christ through faith, they can increasingly learn to reign in life by the "much more" grace of God.
Notice again that God's remedy for those under the reign of death is two-fold: "those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life." Every Christian has received, and has been standing in, the gift of righteousness since the day they were justified by faith in the Lord. This is the only way that anyone can be accepted by a holy, righteous God. Yet, having this wonderful gift of imputed righteousness credited to our account in heaven does not automatically bring daily spiritual victory into the life of God's justified saints. Many Christians, although possessing this gift of the righteousness, do not walk in daily victory. The reason for this lack of spiritual victory is related to the other aspect of God's two-fold provision, "abundance of grace."
Many Christians do not characteristically live by receiving God's grace. Many attempt to live victoriously by merely doing the best that they can by their own human resources. They hope to achieve victory step by step. This will always prove inadequate, because victory must be received from the Lord.
"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57).
"Give and receive" is the language of grace (which depends upon the work of God). "Earn and achieve" is the language of law (which depends upon the work of man).
Jesus came to man's rescue filled to overflowing with God's grace.
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us . . . full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).
Now, for those forgiven by grace, there is a victorious life to be lived by humble dependence upon the "abundance of God's grace" available to us through our new relationship with the Lord. "Much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ."

Father God, I see that Your grace is the resource for living as a Christlike overcomer, reigning in life. Lord, I humble myself before You, admitting my need for Your grace. I reach out to You in faith, praising You that there is abundance of grace available for such victorious living!
THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 19th November, 2014)

Isa 4:5
And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
KJV

The scripture above paints a vivid picture of how God is set to defend His people in the season when it seems there is no protection for anyone. When people are afraid that there is no protection, God will create. He will create upon every place we dwell and every place we gather (assemblies), a cloud and smoke by day. At night there is always shining of a flaming fire. The LORD will defend all the dwelling place of His people. As your children go to school day by day, they are shielded from every evil. As you go about your daily business God has secured you with a protective covering. As you lay down to rest at night, His sure protection is all over you and your family. There shall be no loss! Jesus is Lord! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 17th November, 2014)

Isa 31:4-5
For thus saith the LORD unto me, like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he preserve it .
KJV

God is jealous over His people and would go any length to protect them! God is always mindful of Zion and will never allow the enemy to overrun it! It does not matter the multitudes that have risen against it and their voices challenging it, God will defend it. In this present dispensation that it seems voices have risen against us, stay calm for God will rise up as the mighty one to defend and protect us. God will fight for us, God will defend us against the onslaught of the enemies within and without and they shall be ashamed of themselves at the end of the day. As war planes fly over the city so the LORD of hosts flies over us to defend and to protect. We shall not see shame! We shall not see evil! We are protected on every side and all our foes shall be ashamed! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 14th November, 2014)

Acts 26:22
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
KJV

No one is sufficient in himself to accomplish anything! The Apostle Paul knew this very well and leaned upon God (he depended solely on God for the work of the ministry). No wonder he made waves in his time. Until Jesus comes the world cannot recover from the impact of his ministry as we read and continue to digest the books he wrote in the new testament. It is often surprising and disheartening to see some men of God talk and behave as if they can do anything on their own accord. Paul reiterated he can do all things through the strength of Christ only. Friends, let us hold unto God for His help. As you do so, you shall make mark in your ministry. So shall it be! SHALOM!  (Have great weekend).

Prolific best selling author and internationally renowned preacher and business coach, Dr. Myles Munroe of Bahamas Faith Ministries International and his wife Mrs. Ruth Ann Munroe, died in a plane crash on Sunday in the Bahamas.
The plane, a Lear 36 executive jet, reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area.
The crash killed all nine people including his daughter, on board the private jet.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined, though there had been heavy rain across the region.
A full investigation into the crash has commenced since Monday.
The crash occurred as people were gathering in Grand Bahama for Dr. Munroe’s 2014 Global Leadership Forum, which starts today, November, 10.

CAN President, Oritsejafor Mourns Myles Munroe

The CAN president who said he didn’t believe the initial story when it went viral yesterday morning, added that the passage of Dr. Munroe was a big blow to Churches universally.

Pastor Oritsejafor who played host to Dr. Munroe during the Jubilee Word Festival 2012, grieved over the death, saying “we must learn to live our lives each day. There should be no procrastination, we must live right at all times because no one knows when the bell shall sound. Dr. Munroe’s deaths created a vacuum in Christendom, but the Owner of the Vineyard is able to fill the vacuum. My heart goes to the family, the son and other relations Dr. Munroe has left behind.”
Renowned preacher, best selling author and business coach, Myles Munroe on Sunday, November 9, while on his way to host the annual Global Leadership Forum scheduled to start Monday, November 10, died in a plane crash along with his wife, Ruth Ann and six others at the Grand Bahama International Airport, Bahamas.

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 12th November, 2014)

Ps 121:1-2
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth.
KJV

God’s help is far better than man’s promises! Man may promise and fail but God is ever faithful. Those who look unto God for help receive help in abundance. God’s help can turn a nonentity into a celebrity. God’s help has the capacity to change a condemned failure to a super success. God’s help can transform a clueless individual to a supermodel. It is God’s help that brings man into undue favour before God and man. Help from above terminates all forms of struggles in one’s life. Those who look up to man end up in failure and being disappointed. Those who trust their godfathers, uncles and aunties don’t look up to God and because they don’t look up to God their faces are always down at the end of the day. As for me I will look unto Him, He is my glory and the lifter of my head. I shall never be ashamed. It is time to lift up your eyes to God for from Him comes our help. “Lord, thank you for being my help”. Your struggles are over! It is your season of divine help! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 10th November, 2014)

Isa 54:16-17
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
KJV

The Creator of the universe has control over all the He made! They are all subject to His command. He said since He created them all, none of them can hurt you without Him knowing. God will not give your enemy the power to hurt you. That is why He said no weapon  fashioned against you shall ever prosper. Let them give evil counsel against you, it shall not work. Let them speak evil against you, let them run you down to tannish your image, when the truth will surface they will hide their heads in shame. Those who hate you without cause shall be judged by God and their judgment is condemnation. This is your heritage because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Congratulations! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 7th November, 2014)

Isa 54:14-15
In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
KJV

We are in the end times! Some so-called preachers no longer listen for the voice of the Spirit of God to preach and to teach; they rather listen to gossips and it is the gossips they preach and teach to their congregations. Because they are not spiritual they cannot distinguish between truth and lies. Child of God, all you need do is to continue in righteousness because that is what will establish you against all evil plan of wickedness of men that parade themselves as being holier-than-thou but are wolves in sheep clothing. Let them gather and gossip and preach evil against you, they will all fall and be ashamed of themselves. The hand of God upon your life shall be visible to all to see. But make sure you walk in righteousness before your God. Be blameless before the King of kings and the Lord of all lords. God will vindicate us to their shame. No one, I repeat, no one, will intimidate or oppress us! The eternal God, the Creator will sustain you! JESUS is LORD! PEACE! (Have oppression-free weekend).

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 5th November, 2014)

Prov 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
KJV

Nothing secures one’s life as the name of the LORD. The LORD is the king of all and He reigns over all. He is the most powerful. No power can match His. He gives shelter from the wind, the storm and the rain. When you are faced with circumstances you cannot understand, call on that name. when it seems the battle is fierce against you and you think you are losing ground, run into that name. His name is a miracle worker; when you are confronted with evil orchestrated from the pit of hell, dive into that name. His name is trustworthy; He cannot fail and will never fail. Always remember to call on that name, His name is a shield, shielding you from all evil. You shall have testimony to share at the end of the day. So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 3rd  November, 2014)

Ps 1:1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
KJV

Where you walk, where you stand and where you sit determine whether you will be blessed or not! Whether you will prosper or otherwise is a function of what you delight in and what you meditate on. Those who walk, stand or sit in the counsel of the Almighty are blessed in all they do. They that delight in and meditate on the law of the Most High are evergreen and prosper in whatsoever they do. It doesn’t matter whether they sell sachet water (pure water), palm kernel, firewood, tomato or gari, they must just prosper. Those who partner with God grow in affluence while those who go alone always have their logo “Aluta continua” (struggle continues). I counsel you to partner with God, stand where He places you and watch Him prosper you in all you do. You will not cease to bring forth good fruit in your season! You shall not struggle in vain. The Lord will prosper you in all you do! So shall it be! PEACE!
