THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 31st August, 2015)

1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
KJV

So many people are unsettled in life! Every day they have stories to tell of how unsettled their lives have been. Maybe you are in such category; from January till now you have been yearning for settlement in one area or another. The scripture says it is only God that can settle man. God who has called us unto His eternal glory has the capacity and capability to settle us no matter how unsettled our lives have been. As the month of August is going to an end, you shall not carry over any unsettled issue into the month of September! That your marital issue shall be settled today! That your childlessness shall be settled in less than 24 hours! That your joblessness shall be handled before the end of today! That sickness shall not follow you into next month. Whatever your own case may be, God will settle you. I want you to take just a minute and speak to God about the area you need settlement right now saying, “Lord, settle me in this area, according to your word”. The Lord make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 28th August, 2015)

Hab 1:5
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
KJV

Of a certainty we are in the days of strange works and strange acts of God! I was travelling yesterday and witnessed a fresh vehicular accident involving a hilux van and an 18-seater bus fully loaded with passengers. Both vehicles veered into the bush over a distance of about 500 metres but no one was hurt! Everyone came out and stood on their feet. It must be God! As I moved about 20 kilometres away from this scene, on a certain hill, I heard a loud noise in my car and at that speed the wheels got hooked and the car drifted across the road to the other side and the force made it to turn 180o facing where I was coming from. As I alighted from the car the villagers came out in their number looking at me as though I was an angel. They could not believe their eyes! There was no scratch on me nor the car. This is what we call the strange acts of God! Friends, before this week is over God will work a work in your own life that will be termed “unbelievable”. God will lift you in your family, business, academics, ministry etc so much so that when you are told about it you will not believe your ears. You will be a wonder to your world very shortly! So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 26th August, 2015)

2 Kings 7:8-9
And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.
KJV

Lepers are the most disdained people in the society! Nobody wants to reckon with a leper! They are literarily outcasts of the society. Nobody associates wealth and riches with them. They cannot mingle with people freely so they cannot be anything valuable in the comity of human beings. But the same lepers, who are known to be beggars, God turned their situation around in a twinkle of an eye and they became good news carriers! All of a sudden they became rich in silver, gold, assorted raiment. The ones who used to beg to eat suddenly ate and drank and had enough to spare. Then said they to one another, “…..this day is a day of good tidings.” Hey! Someone’s day of good tidings is here at last. I don’t know how much the society has beaten and battered you, today, you are ushered into your era of good tidings. No matter how much they have looked down on you, a new you is coming out of that situation-victorious! Suddenly, the lepers (the outcasts of the society), found themselves in the king’s palace, telling the king’s house their good news. This is strange work and strange act of God! Friends, you shall not end as a mean man/woman but a king/queen. So shall it be! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 24th August, 2015)

Isa 28:21
For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
KJV

When God arises strange things happen! When God stands up for a man, he sees accomplishment! The scripture before us today reveals that God will arise and when He arises He will be wroth i.e He will be furious and that will culminate in strange work and strange act. That situation you are in does not please God so, He will rise for your sake. That issue you has weighed you down for too long, God will arise in your defense this week. That sickness will not destroy you for God will arise on your behalf to put an end to it. You have been in the wilderness of joblessness for too long, your God will perform His strange work for you this week. For someone reading this, it’s as if your life is in the desert of life; nothing is working, no progress, no succor, all you do turns out marred before your face. I have good news for you, God will do strange work in your life that you shall have testimony this week. Whatever your situation, this week is your week of strange works and strange acts of God. Expect strange things to happen for you this week. Jesus is Lord! So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday 21st August, 2015)

Jer 18:3-6
Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
KJV
God in His infinite mercy showed us that this week is our week of absolute recovery. That whatever it is we have lost shall be recovered. Those who have lost anything at all (though the world says opportunity lost can never be regained), God says, you shall recover all. If you have lost a chunk of your time, you will recover all, according to the word of the Lord. But someone is reading this who has not experienced this restoration and to you, it seems, the week is running to an end and your own case is yet to be settled by God. When it is your turn to recover, the time shall not pass until you have recovered all. That your broken heart shall be mended, that broken relationship shall be put together again. That broken career shall be recovered! That your broken home shall be put together again! That your broken life shall be mended by the God who is the potter and we all are the clay in His hand. He asked, “cannot I do with you as this potter?” God can do much more to put your life together again whatever it is you are concerned about God can fix it for you. But you MUST allow Him to break you and mold you again into a new wonderful shape. I see a new you emerging very shortly and the world shall say, “see what the LORD has done for him/her!” So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 19th August, 2015)

Isa 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
KJV

Surely, the time of recovery is a time of good tidings! Someone reading this may be heartbroken; some persons may be captives, yet others are bound in the prisons of life. Circumstances of life have made you conclude that life is not friendly at all. Someone you rusted has broken your heart and to pick the pieces has proved so difficult. When you look at your life, the situations tell you clearly, you have lost so many years of your livelihood. Without being told, you know you are certainly held captive in life’s prison by the circumstances you experience around you. Sometimes you are tempted to believe there is no more hope for you. Don’t you give up! The day of the vengeance of your God has finally come. The time of your comfort is now. Hear what He is saying, “….to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness….” I rejoice with you! At last you shall have beauty in place of ashes, oil of joy for mourning, garment of praise shall decorate you and God shall be glorified in your life. In a twinkle of an eye your story is changing, you are changing levels. Lift up your voice and give glory to God for the new thing He is set to do in your life. So shall it be! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 17th August, 2015)

1 Sam 30:7-8
And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.
And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
KJV

David, the captain of the host, was faced with a situation that was so devastating to him and all that was with him. The Amalekites had invaded their city, smote everything the saw, carried captive their wives and children, including David’s two wives and children. After they had cried and had no breadth anymore to cry, David encouraged himself in the Lord and enquired of the Lord whether he should pursue the invaders. The Lord answered and told him to pursue, overtake them and that, surely, he will recover all. I don’t know what they have taken away from you, I don’t know what you have lost, I don’t know that thing that means so much to you but someone, somewhere is depriving you of. One thing God has asked me to tell you is that, this week, you will recover all. Someone’s health has been stolen, this week God will recover your health for you. Someone’s academics is in doubt right now, this week you will recover it. Someone’s finances has been destroyed and his life is in shambles but this week is your week of recovery. There is no doubt whatsoever, that this week, no matter what you have lost, God Almighty will make you to recover all. Encourage yourself in the Lord and He shall bring it to pass. It is your week of restoration! So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  14th August, 2015)

Acts 26:22
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
KJV
So many a times when we begin a thing it seems so easy that we begin with excitement and vigour. However, as time wears on, we become weary and discouraged and sometimes frustration sets in. I know if you think back in your life you will agree with me you have had such experience before. That is why you have to acknowledge the grace for continuity! No one born of woman is sufficient in anything in life except the grace of God is made available to him/her. It is that grace of God that we call the help of God. Paul the apostle explained that the exploits he had in ministry was as a result of the help he received from God. Paul, whose shadow alone could heal the sick, said he could not have continued except for the help of God. No wonder he reiterated in1 Cor 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” By the Spirit of God and the spirit of just men made perfect, receive help for continuity in that business, academics, ministry, relationship, and whatever the endeavor in Jesus name. You shall not have any abandoned pursuit in Jesus name. So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 12th August, 2015)

2 Chron 26:15
And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
KJV

Uzziah was sixteen (16) years old when he was made king over Israel. What can a 16 year old do to lead this great nation outside of the help of God? How can he do the right thing in the sight of God except God’s help is available to him. Amazingly, the 16 year old Uzziah did great things to strengthen his rule over Israel and their enemies round about. He made the first armoured personnel carriers that used stones in Jerusalem. His name went far because, according to the scriptures, he was marvelously helped by God. God helped him because he sought God;  2 Chro 26:5 “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.” Those who seek God receive His help and the help from above makes one to attain unprecedented heights in life. If not for God’s help how could a prisoner like Joseph ever become prime minister in a foreign land? Except for God’s help how could David, who was synonymous with sheep in the wilderness, be anointed king over Israel? Before this week is over someone reading this message will receive God’s marvelous help and suddenly you shall have a change of levels. So shall it be! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 10th August, 2015)

Ps 60:11
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
KJV

God’s help is certain as against the help of man that is full of uncertainties! God’s promises are with full assurances of fulfillment but it’s not so with man. The Psalmist knew this too well and that was why he cried unto God, “give us help from trouble”. This was repeated, for emphasis, in Psalm 108:12. Those who lean on God’s help are never disappointed. Man is quick to promise but hard to fulfill his promises. Those who look unto God share testimonies of God’s faithfulness at the end of the day while those who look unto man, no matter his status, tell tales of woes. No wonder the Psalmist wrote in Ps 121:1-2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” This week, God will send you help from unexpected quarters! Before you make your requests they are already granted! The God who made the heaven and earth, and whom you look unto, will not disappoint you! This week you shall share your testimonies of God’s help! Vain is the help of man; look unto God and He will show up for you. So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  7th August, 2015)

Ps 34:10
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
KJV

Lion, we are told, is the king of the jungle! Lion is a very fierce and frightening animal! He does not turn from its prey until it devours it. The Bible attest to its strength as being the strongest: “A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any (Prov 30:30).” The strength of the lion and its ability to hunt down its prey not withstanding they lack food to eat and suffer hunger. In fact, it has been revealed by conservationists that the greatest calamity faced by the lion colony is lack of food. This makes the lion to go hungry and famish in the forest. But God is assuring you this day, though weak and nil, though not having enough to eat, that you will not want any good thing. God is not saying your need but your want. You know our wants are more than our needs! God will meet you up to your wants in this season of abundance. Good health is good, you will have it. Wealth and riches are good therefore, you shall have them in abundance. fruit of the womb is a good thing, you shall not lack it. Academics is good so you will excel in it. Job is good so you will not be a job seeker but job provider. Whatever makes life sweet and worth the living, the LORD will make available to you in this season. Indeed, you shall swim in abundance from now onward! So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 5th August, 2015)

Ps 84:11-12
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
KJV

God is a constant giver! He gives grace, He gives glory, He gives every good thing you can think or imagine! To them that walk uprightly He does not limit the good things He gives them. Whatever good things they desire He cannot even withhold it from them. He is the giver of perfect and good gift as rightly revealed by James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” He does not play pranks, He does not deceive anyone. When He gives you His good gift, He also shields it from being corrupted by the devil and that is why the Psalmist said, “…….He is a sun and a shield”. But you must endeavor to walk uprightly and also put your trust in Him. From this day forward may He be your sun and shield and may His face continue to shine upon you! May He give you His grace and glory! May every good thing you desire come to you speedily! Friends continue to swim in this your season of abundance! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 3rd August, 2015)

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
KJV

Jesus speaking in the scripture above said that the devil is the thief! This thief has stolen so much from human beings; he has stolen their health, wealth, fame, glory, honour, peace, joy and so much more. He kills and also destroys. He has destroyed so many lives, he has scattered so many homes, tampered with people’s health and rendered so many more useless so much so that it looks as if, there is no way out and that the entire power belongs to him. But I’ve got good news for you, Jesus has come to counter the works of the devil for those who would believe (1 John 3:8). Jesus Christ came that we might have life in its abundance. Abundant life in health, wealth, fame, academics, career, family, joy and in all areas of life. I therefore declare to you this day, welcome to your month of abundance. From this month (August) forward, abundance shall answer in your life and in all you stand for. Where you are now and what you see now is the least you’ll ever be and see. You are going higher and you shall be nick named ABUNDANCE in Jesus name. So shall it be! PEACE!
