THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 19th August, 2015)

Isa 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
KJV

Surely, the time of recovery is a time of good tidings! Someone reading this may be heartbroken; some persons may be captives, yet others are bound in the prisons of life. Circumstances of life have made you conclude that life is not friendly at all. Someone you rusted has broken your heart and to pick the pieces has proved so difficult. When you look at your life, the situations tell you clearly, you have lost so many years of your livelihood. Without being told, you know you are certainly held captive in life’s prison by the circumstances you experience around you. Sometimes you are tempted to believe there is no more hope for you. Don’t you give up! The day of the vengeance of your God has finally come. The time of your comfort is now. Hear what He is saying, “….to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness….” I rejoice with you! At last you shall have beauty in place of ashes, oil of joy for mourning, garment of praise shall decorate you and God shall be glorified in your life. In a twinkle of an eye your story is changing, you are changing levels. Lift up your voice and give glory to God for the new thing He is set to do in your life. So shall it be! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!
