THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  31st July, 2015)

Phil 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
KJV

On Monday we talked about having one desire while on Wednesday we looked at one thing that is needful. Today we are looking at one thing we must do. I have come to realize that the enemy of the future is the past! Many a times we get bogged down with the past that we become oblivious about the glorious future set before us. Someone may be so excited about the success of yesterday and unconsciously allows the future to meet him unprepared. Someone may be downcast about the failure of yesterday and is blinded to the success that awaits him so he misses it. Apostle Paul puts it very clearly when he said he remained focused doing one thing-forgetting those things that are behind. When you attached your mind to things that are behind you are pulled behind. Let go of the things that are behind and stay focused on those things that are before. Whether good or bad, beautiful or ugly, noble or ignoble, honorable or dishonorable, let the past be behind you, go forward. Today, the 7th month of the year is rolling away, you may not have got to your destination nor achieved your desire for the year but the one thing you should do is “forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” You will surely get to the finishing line in Jesus name. So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 29th July, 2015)

Luke 10:41-42
And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
KJV

In our day to day life, so many of us engage in so many things that most often than not, we pay little attention to the needful! I have seen people who claim to be so busy from morning till night without achieving anything. I usually say these people are so very busy but without business. I have encountered people moving here and there, running around to catch up with this or that but at the end of the day they return to where they started not laying hand on anything tangible. I say they keep moving but reaching nowhere and covering no distance. Martha was like that! But Jesus told her that it is not in the volumes of your engagements, activities but being able to cling to and doing the NEEDFUL. Maybe what you really need is to sit down at a time like this and enter into conference room with your heart and think about your future. Maybe what will suffice for you is to be quiet and commune with God about your destiny, family, academics, health, job etc. Maybe you need just one word of counsel from God and all you have been bothered about is resolved. Friends, maybe you are careful and troubled about many things, remember, one thing is needful and the wise will always identify the needful and better their lives. May God help us to know and do the needful from now on! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 27th July, 2015)

Ps 27:4-5
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
KJV

In life focus is very important if one desires to go far! Those who are focused on what they do often go farther than they could ever imagine. It is therefore, important for one to focus on one thing at a time. When you are done with that one thing, you go for another. Some people however, do so many things at a time and they often lose focus. As the saying goes, about people who lack focus, ‘jack of all trade, master of none’. Set one assignment for your life at a time and after accomplishing that, set another. In today’s scripture the Psalmist says he desired one thing and that he will go after. “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.” And as a result of his focus God will hide him in His secret and will lift him up to where he belongs in destiny. Friends, all through this week we shall be exploring the secret and blessedness of focusing on “one thing”. One thing have I desired and that one thing will I go after. You shall not have abandoned project(s) in your life anymore. One thing at a time! So shall it be! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  24th July, 2015)

Hag 2:19
Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
KJV

In most cases people do things in their seasons. When it is planting season, the farmers prepare their lands for the season; when it is season for harvest they go into the fields where they had planted to harvest what their efforts have brought forth. In this case, everything has its own season. As it is for farming so it is for all other areas of human endeavor. Workers wait till it’s month’s end for salaries or weekend for wages. However, God’s own agenda for you is to have all-year-round blessings. In this case, your blessing does not need to be seasonal. God asked a crucial question in today’s scripture, “Is the seed yet in the barn?” This means, has the month ended? Have they paid your salaries or wages? Then He said “yea” even though it is not your season for salary or wages, neither is there anywhere in sight for you to have money this weekend, yet He will bless you. Do not bother yourself where the food for this weekend will come from, don’t worry about what to put on, don’t bother how money will come for this weekend. For He saith, “from this day will I bless you.” This weekend shall be the most fulfilled yet for you. The fig tree, pomegranate and the olive tree may not have brought forth, but God will bless you. So shall it be! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 22nd July, 2015)

Gen 41:15-16
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.
KJV

Pharaoh was so troubled because of the dream he had and the need to get the interpretation which unfortunately, was not forthcoming from his trusted dream interpreters. So many questions were on his mind but no answer. He was already perplexed when he heard there was a slave, a prisoner who can interpret the dream. What a great relief for the great king of Egypt! However, when Joseph was called he told the king, it was only God that can give the king an ‘answer of peace’! I have seen almost everyone living on the planet earth, with lots and lots of questions with no commensurate answers. So many ‘why me? what next? Who will help me? When shall my own be? Where do I go from here? How can this be?’. Lots of unanswered questions on the minds of both small and great, rich and poor alike! Questions about your marital life, fruitfulness, job, family, academics, health and all that bothers you. No matter the question(s) on your mind I have good news for you: God will give you an answer of peace! The only one that can give authentic answer(s) to your question(s) is God. Jesus is the answer for the world today. He will give you an answer of PEACE! So shall it be! Amen! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 20th July, 2015)

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
KJV

Jesus speaking in John’s gospel 3:6 declared, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” This indicates that while it seems everyone is born of the flesh there are some that are born of the Spirit. Consequently those that are born of the flesh remain flesh are behave as flesh (weak, victims of circumstances, deflated, sickly, confused and etc) but those that are born of the Spirit remain unbeatably triumphant in life. Hallelujah! This is re-echoed in the scripture above, that for as long as you are born of God you are an overcomer of the world. The victory that makes one an overcomer, where others are defeated, is FAITH. Forasmuch as you are of God you shall remain an overcomer. For faith in God puts anyone, for that matter, above all. You shall no more be a victim but a victor. Be inspired today to hold unto the faith that overcomes the world. God Almighty strengthen your faith to remain on top in Jesus name. It is done! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  17th July, 2015)

Prov 3:21-24
21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
KJV

Wisdom, the scripture says, is the principal thing therefore in all you get you must strive to get wisdom. The heavenly wisdom is above all forms of wisdom so don’t let it depart from your eyes. Some walk in cunning craftiness of their heart and they think it is wisdom. They try to outsmart one another. All such forms of behavior shall surely fail. it is only God’s kind of wisdom that makes one to excel and succeed in life. Keep sound wisdom and discretion. Wisdom gives life and grace to those that have it. Your days will not be cut short as a result of foolishness! With wisdom you can walk safely and never afraid of stumbling. You will not stumble in the name of Jesus. When you lie down your sleep shall be sweet because the wisdom of God is at work in you. Throughout this year your sleep shall be sweet. No one will make you afraid, you will not have sleepless night in Jesus name. Can I hear you say “give me wisdom Lord and I shall live”. Receive it in Jesus name. SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 15th July, 2015)

Rom 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
KJV

God specializes in turning situation around to the favour of His children. He can work that disappointment to divine appointment; He can turn that sorrow into joy; He can turn your weakness to divine strength; He can work out that failure until it becomes success; He can work out delay to become delight. Therefore, no matter the situation that prevails around you now I want you to know that God is working out something in your favour. All those things will work together for your good. Stop sorrowing over what you cannot change. Cease to ponder over those lies told against you for which you are being hated, persecuted, despised by the ignorant and enemies. At the end God will vindicate you and they all will see that they have castigated you in your innocence. They all will realize their mistakes and will come begging you. The scripture says “And we know……..”, say to yourself, ‘now I know’. So shall it be! Amen! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 13th July, 2015)

Jer 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
KJV

God is full of thoughts concerning you. He thinks for us more than we can think for ourselves. Aren’t you glad that the Almighty takes time to think about you? You may be little in your own eyes but God sees you through His own eyes. He thinks about you! The good news is that His thoughts towards you are for good and for peace. He is thinking how good shall come unto you. He is thinking of peace round and about you. He wants evil to cease from your habitation. He wants strife to end around you. He wants peace to reign supreme in your life. Above all, He wants you to have your expectations at the end. Therefore, I say unto you, at the end of this month what you expect is what will happen. From this day and through to December, all your expectations shall speak clearly and loudly. You shall arrive at your expected end. Say to yourself now, ‘I shall have my expected end all through this year’. So shall it be. PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  10th July, 2015)

Ps 46:1-5
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
KJV

God is the only sure refuge man can ever have! He is ever present whenever we need Him. Those who have Him as their refuge are often not afraid no matter what happens around them. Those you trusted may even be your worst enemies. It is possible those who laugh with you are the ones undoing you. People may gang up against, try to cut you down and dapple your integrity, but God will undo them. They will soon be cut off and you will find them no more. Let the earth grumble and tumble. Let the seas and the waters be enraged and let the mountains melt in anger, there is a river, the streams will always make glad your heart. Why? God is with you and so you cannot be moved. Say to yourself, “I am unmovable”. God’s help is coming your way without delay. God will help you early, He won’t come too late. Help is on the way. PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Monday 6th July, 2015)

Joel 1:2-4
Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?
Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.
KJV

The scripture above paints a gruesome picture of a complete devastation! It shows how an individual can be completely wrecked! What the palmerworm considered not food the locust came and ate it up, what the locust felt wasn’t good for food the cankerworm finished it and what they left behind the caterpillar made an end of it. From one challenge to another, from one affliction to another, from one tragedy to the next and from one calamity to the next, someone’s life, family, health, career etc may have suffered untold and unimaginable devastation. This is catastrophic! Maybe that individual is you or you know someone that has suffered this kind of irrecoverable fate and he/she is even at the verge of giving up on life. However, I’ve got good news for you. Thus saith the LORD in Joel 2:25-26 “I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm…………. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed”. Whatever you must have lost God has promised to restore to you. It does not matter how long the enemy has taken the toll on you, you will rejoice at last. Wherever the enemy has put you to shame God will roll away your shame. God will restore your dignity; your life, health, family, career shall be restored and you shall never again be ashamed! Welcome to your season of RESTORATION! It is done! SHALOM!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Friday  3rd  July, 2015)

Eccl 11:3
If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth:
KJV

For rains to fall, the clouds must be full and heavy with water! When there is enough evaporation and consequently condensation in the atmosphere then rains begin to fall. During the dry season evaporation from the surface of the earth makes the clouds to receive moisture and this, overtime, leads to heavy condensation and rains are inevitable. From January till now you have laboured tirelessly and that has caused the condensation of your blessings in the clouds. Now, as we enter the seventh month of the year God is asking me to tell you that your clouds are already full of rain and very shortly they shall empty themselves upon you, if only you can believe. Let’s see how Prophet Elijah puts it for Ahab the king of Israel in those days, “And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. ………Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain……(1 Kings 18:41,44,45)”. For you I can hear the sound of abundance of the rain of God’s blessings. You cannot escape this rain, it will wet you and you shall celebrate that the Lord has remembered you at last. Get set for abundance of God’s blessings in this season. So shall it be in Jesus name! PEACE!

THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 1st July, 2015)

Eccl 9:4
For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
KJV

There is this popular saying that ‘if there is life there is hope’! Life is very important to the living and only the living can aspire to live and have fulfillment. That you are alive today is an indication that you will fulfill your dreams and aspiration for this year. The first half of this year has just rolled into oblivion and here we are face to face with the second half and God is saying to you that because you are alive there is hope for you. Job puts it this way “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease,” (Job 14:7). It does not matter how the first six months of this have treated you, just know that there is hope for you. Please friends, I want you to approach this seventh month and of course, the remaining part of this year with renewed hope and vigour knowing full well that God will perfect all that concerns you as the Psalmist said in Ps 138:8 “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me”. Remember, seven (7) represents perfection, welcome to your season of perfection! There is HOPE for you and you shall celebrate at last! So shall it be! HAPPY NEW MONTH! SHALOM!
