THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 12th August, 2015)

2 Chron 26:15
And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.
KJV

Uzziah was sixteen (16) years old when he was made king over Israel. What can a 16 year old do to lead this great nation outside of the help of God? How can he do the right thing in the sight of God except God’s help is available to him. Amazingly, the 16 year old Uzziah did great things to strengthen his rule over Israel and their enemies round about. He made the first armoured personnel carriers that used stones in Jerusalem. His name went far because, according to the scriptures, he was marvelously helped by God. God helped him because he sought God;  2 Chro 26:5 “And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.” Those who seek God receive His help and the help from above makes one to attain unprecedented heights in life. If not for God’s help how could a prisoner like Joseph ever become prime minister in a foreign land? Except for God’s help how could David, who was synonymous with sheep in the wilderness, be anointed king over Israel? Before this week is over someone reading this message will receive God’s marvelous help and suddenly you shall have a change of levels. So shall it be! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!
