THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 10th
February, 2016)
Isa 49:15
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she
should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet
will I not forget thee.
KJV
Women are so passionate about their children! We were told this affinity
is because of the fact that children live with their mothers nine months before
anyone else could set his/her eyes on them so the bond between them is so high!
In fact, without any fear of criticism I can freely say that, most women think
more of their children than their husbands while most men think more of their wives
or jobs. We were once told about a woman who was in a room sleeping and her sucking
child beside her when fire gutted their apartment. The shouts of fire outside
woke her up and she rushed out but remembered her child. The world outside
persuaded her to leave the child because of the inferno but she damned the consequences
and entered fire because of her bowel of compassion for her child. The hand she
used to pick the child was severely burnt! As the child was growing up he never
liked his mother’s burnt right hand which was shorter than the left hand. One day
he summoned courage to ask his mother of what happened to her hand. The woman
sighed and kept silent! The boy became more curious and asked why the sighing. His
mother told him her hand was an exchange for his life! She then told the boy
the whole story. She could hardly finish when the boy, with tears already
rolling down his cheeks profusely, jumped, grabbed the hand and said, “mama, I
love this hand more than the rest of your body”. God is telling someone this
day that if a woman can be so compassionate about her child, He, the Creator
will do much more for you. He said the woman may even forget but He will not
forget you. Walk in this assurances today and forever that God cannot forget
you! Your God has not forgot your issues. He will answer you! So
shall it be! Amen! PEACE!
