THE DEW OF HERMON (Wednesday 9^th September, 2015)

Jeremiah 10:23

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Man that is born of woman has no control over his life! He does not know what may happen next. He knows only parts of the past and present. He does not know all because he is never omniscient neither can be. His way is not known to him because his way is not in himself. He moves about but does not have powers to direct his own steps. No wonder when some step, they step into sickness, affliction, trouble and even death unknowingly. It is only God that knows the end from the beginning that can direct man’s steps. I have heard about someone who got to a motor park to board a vehicle but was denied access without any reason only to discover hours later that the same vehicle he/she would have boarded crashed and there was no survivor. Think, ponder on man’s steps: some step into marriage wrongly and live to regret it; some step into business only for it to crash; some embark on a journey not ordained for them and ended up being destroyed! But as for you, God will guide your steps and you shall not be destroyed! Remember, Ps 37:23 ”The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD:” It is a tragedy for one to walk on his own without God! Learn to allow God to lead the way and you shall end victorious! So shall it be! Jesus is LORD! SHALOM!
